The Fisherman's Walk. This spectacular and demanding route rewards walkers with vistas of unrelenting beauty. According to my guide Francisco, only 25% of hikers who attempt this trail complete its merciless cycle of steep inclines to wind-blown clifftops, and dizzying descents to pristine beaches. There are several exit-points along the way, for the fatigued. For the indefatigable, or those on our last legs, the day concludes with dinner at a fabulous fish-house by the sea.
