January is a perfect month to visit picturesque Yunnan province, home to Bai and Naxi ethnic minority cultures.
Kunming is a city of eternal spring. Dali is a gem on the shore of Erhai Lake. Lijiang is an ancient town, overlooked by Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Past the other side of that enormous mountain, really a range of thirteen Himalayan peaks, flows the historic Yangtze, into perilous Tiger Leaping Gorge. Luckily I brought my camera :-)
