Quebec is fittingly called "La Belle Province" -- The Beautiful Province. Bigger than France and Texas combined, its beauties are far-flung. These photos highlight a five-day jaunt through scenic segments of the Gaspe Peninsula's southern and northern shores, and a dash through the interior via Cascapedia. The tour concludes with a day on the island oasis of Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs, just north of Riviere-du-Loup. Altogether, five days of wondrous land- and seascapes. No internet, no TV, no phone; just open roads, sunlit trails, and abundant fresh air. A lighthouse stands vigil on every point, as does a steeple in every hamlet of La Belle Province.
